Wards Westernfield Model 35 12 gauge pump shotgun
« on: December 03, 2007, 01:40:35 pm »

Can anyone out there tell me anything about the Wards Westernfield Model 35 12 gauge pump shotgun? I got this gun from my dad, it belonged to his grandfather. I can't find anything on the internet about it. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

The Westernfield was a trade name used on guns that were manufactured for Montgomery Wards. Savage Arms did made some of the guns for Montgomery Wards so you might Email them.

Mossberg & Noble also made guns for Wards.

Casey,
Go to proofhouse.com/cm/house_brand.htm   This is a list of conversions from store name of weapon to the actual manufacturer and model. I should help. Western Field is two words by the way. I have an old knife from my father that is a Western Field.

I, too, inherited a WesternField model 35 12ga from my grandfather. I believe it to be a Stevens Model 520A. Compass in the stock, right? At least mine has! My dad told me that he and my uncle would take 1st and 2nd shots, then grandad would bag the ringneck on the 3rd with this gun.
