I'm beginning the process of making my own jigs for jigging the DR. I've got a fluid bed for powder painting & some paint. There are 2 styles of jigs that I want to try before I buy the molds (bought some unpainted jigs at the Novi show to test). If I like the jigs then I'll be buying the molds & a production pot for melting the lead. I get most of the lead for free so my only cost is the hooks & paint & eyes if I want to put them on.
I'm also going to start making bucktails & French spinners but I've put that off for now because of low funds. I want to buy a Boggs Professional Tacklemaker for bending the wire. I've also been searching around for the best prices on parts.
I'm also looking into making my own soft plastics. It might be a year or 2 before I do that.

bending wire for buck tails is easy just need one pair needle nose pliers and 1 pair of vise grips. I might take a look at making a wire former. It does not look that hard to make.

I just make my own worm harnesses.....I buy all the parts and tie them up so I don't consider it lure making....
Outlaw makes musky trolling/casting baits.....they are sold in most of the tackle shops around the Windsor area.....here are a few.....
