Gave the BPS Extreme Spinning 7ft. Med. rod a work out yesterday and just love it. Gosh I've been fishing all these years and could of been using it along time ago..DARN!!! So much for the lightning rods. I sold them all.
Also tryed the new St.Croix rod I picked up and to me it's horrible. Your fingers set on the threads of the rod and it just isn't comfortable.
So I took it back and went to Bass Pro and got another Extreme. So Now that I have two extreme's I'm ready to do battle.
Just want you to know if your looking. The Extreme's really are the best deal out there for the $'s.

They're good rods Andy. Pick one up if you have the money. The Woo Daves 6'8" ML rod is great. I have 2 and they're great for throwing tubes, grubs, senkos, anything light.

I second that, I will never buy a two piece rod again.

sorry the St. Croix didn't work out for you h2o everyone has their own comfort zone that's for sure. I like the one piece rods as well definately much more sensitive and that's all I will buy now too. I use my old 2 piece rods when I go shore fishing, I don't care if they get abused and knocked around.

The St. just seemed so un-comfortable. My fingers layed right on the screw down reel threads. Seems like a defect in there design. Man are the BPS extremes awesome. I was a big lightning rod fan for ever, they were fast and strong and I would feel not as bad when they broke. But now using these rods I can't believe me of all people didn't use quality rods along time ago.

The Extremes are awesome. You would really understand that if you were a tube fisherman or used a drop shot. You don't need as much sensitivity for grubs or a mepps, but they are still great rods. I have 3 and love them. They were great for jigging the DR. I could definately tell what was a bite and what wasn't.
