well I just got back from BPS went looking for a new jiggin rod and bought the walleye angler series in a 5'9" medium action. They were 20 bucks off plus I had a 10 dollar birthday coupon so the price was right $42.88 out the door. I wanted a shorter rod and had a hard time finding a spinning rod in medium action under 6' so this was the ticket. Can't wait to test it out on the river.

I also went to BPS today. Bought a new reel with birthday money from my grandmas and my mom bought me a few things I don't need I'm ready now. Less than 2 weeks until C&R opens up.

Most fishermen sit at home in the winter, thinking about fishing. Real fishermen go out and do it.

Lerxst nice job on that stick, may it serve you well. Lets us know what fish you catch on it first.
Mark:
What reel.

Abu Garcia Cardinal. $35, and it's a great reel. I already have two others and absolutely love them. It spools the line correctly (unlike most low-end spinning reels). And it's smooth as butter. With baitcasters, sometimes the higher end models are better, but I can't see dropping too much money on a spinning reel.
