Took My Brothers boat (The CzarBarge) out for the maiden voyage to St.Clair and went Pike fishing. Had a blast. Got @ least 12 toothy critters. With 32 in and 28 in being the biggest. 4lb. FireLine Crystal and the Mepps #3 Silver and Rainbow Aglia lures as bullets. Boat preformed super and is now ready for the season.

Started fishing @ noon and finished @ 7:00. Main lake water temp was mid 40's and the warmest we found was 57. All fish caught casting.

Love the new extreme rod.

 

Going again tomarrow. Report # 6 to follow. Gotta get up @ 3:30.

 Sweet !! nice job on the snakes that looks like too much fun. That's a beautiful 7+ lb'r nice and girthy.  I use to target them all the time years ago then changed to more of a walleye and panfish guy. I might have to give them a try again soon.

The weather was great, the fishing was good and the Czarbarge ran flawless. My main mission was the shakedown of the Czarbarge so I let H2O take all titles. I usually catch the biggest ones and he catches the most, (counting dink perch and rockies) When we were out there, there were duck hunters cruising around in their boat at a high rate of speed blasting ducks as they were scared up into flight.
