One of the storms that came through caused some small water spouts to start to form. That was pretty cool to see.The first day out my son caught 6 walleye in the first hour, none bigger than 15 1/2". He kicked the old man's butt pretty good on the walleye.
I mainly caught LM & SM all in the 15" to 16 1/2" range along with my new personal best crappie that was just a tad over 13". With all the high winds & storms there were floating weeds all over the lake so almost every cast came back in with weeds on the lure. I tried vertical jigging in a new spot (11 to 15 fow) just to avoid hooking weeds & it paid off with several small walleye & some LM. It figures that the day I leave for home (a day earlier than planned) the weather improved. The story of my life.

The typical size of the bass we caught.

I may be heading back up there at the end of the month depending on how the gas prices are. My butt stills hurts from the pounding I took at the pump.
If I do go back up I might hook up with Paul (Bay De Noc) who will be up there with his family.
