I'm looking at a 1984 21' Bayliner Trophy, It doesn't have a motor.He'll let it go for 1500.I'm new at boats so need some advise.I have a motor for it.

Its a nice hull and just about perfect size for st clair. Make sure the glas is solid all around and the floor is in decent shape. Dryrot on something thats pretty much guaranteed on something that age, especially considering a 500LB evinrude dangling on the back for so many years. Otherwise perfect for fishing. Considering what I see, asking price should be no more than 1200 depending on how solid it is. Great for fishing, enclosed cockpit is always a major bonus for late season and rainy weather. Early baylines always had fiber issues so make sure to insect for stress cracks and fatigue.

The trailer for that boat looks to small for that size boat. A boat that size should have a tandem axel trailer. It’s fine if all you are doing is towing to a marina where the boat will be docked for the season but I wouldn’t travel with it.
