1973 Feathercraft 16' Alum. Fishing Boat
« on: June 16, 2010, 08:46:31 am »

I've been looking at a 16' Feathercraft Alum. Fishing boat on the internet and the boat is in great shape but the gunwale curves in a little on the back corners. My friend told me the boat wouldn't handle rough water and to stay away from it. I would mainly be fishing the inland lakes with it.
The guy that has the boat told me that he has had four people in it fishing and when someone move around you could hardly feel it.
Has anyone had this style of boat or this boat and could give me some advice?  Huh?
Thank you in advance and God bless you!

Make sure you test it on the water before you give him a dime. 16ft. would be great on inland. Only nice days on big lakes. Sounds like it is damaged so buyer BEWARE.

Post a picture of the boat and the suspect area of damage if you can.

I ,myself, would be staying clear of a boat that old. There are some really good deals out there if someone took the time to look.

It's a shopper's paradise right now with the economy in the tank, and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better any time soon.
