Hi all............. I would like some feedback on Ranger's 619VS,620VS,and 621VS. This is Ranger's Multi-Species boat in which i will be fishing for bass if i decide to buy one!How are the upright seats compared to the bench style seating in a bass boat? How difficult is it to land fish over the side in one of these boats?I understand that a hydralic jackplate is the way to go but wanted your imput about this subject as well. How are these boats on big water such as the Great Lakes?Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the site Todd.
It's funny that you ask about those Rangers because I've been looking at those same models myself. I've also been looking into the Triton boats (215X & 202X), which are offering a $2,000 rebate. The Triton boats are almost laid out identical to the Rangers. I'm sorry I can't help with your questions. Let me know what you find out.

Todd welcome to GLF. I would go with the bigger seat. Not only is it more stable with wind, there alot more comfortable. You won't regret that. It's cake to land fish. Nice boat and you will enjoy it. No one could'nt. Like any lake it all depends on the wind. It's a bass boat, not made for the Great lakes but that all depends on the conditions.

It's not a bass boat, it's a walleye/multi-species boat. They are a lot deeper that the bass boats.

i have a Ranger Cherokee 207 Aluminum Deep-V boat right now(that's right i said Aluminum)!I don't have any problems landing fish in it so i wouldn't think it would be a problem in any of these boats either.

Zib, Don't just go towards Triton just because of a $2,000.00 Rebate. You must compare apples to apples when looking at these boats and also consider the resale value if you will sell/trade the boat in a few years.Ranger boats hold their value very well, which can help if you decide to purchase/trade-in a boat down the road! They might be laid out "like" a Ranger boat, but you must look at the things that you can't see like; how the rod locker compartments/storage areas are put together (seams),Wiring how does Triton's wiring compare to the Ranger's wiring? You might want to take a look at the video Ranger put together on how their boats are built and compare how other manufacturers stack up ! h20,
You said go with a bigger seat,is there a choice of upright seats for Ranger's Multi-Species boats?I would imagine an upright seat would be more comfortable because your feet are under you and can take the shock out of waves and rough water compared to the bench style seating in a bass boat that you would have your feet under the console and not in position to take the shock out of any waves or rough water.Would this assumption be correct? Can you sit in these upright seats during rough water and not fall out of them?

I really don't know what to tell you. You should check them out before you buy. Get to sit in a actual boat. Check out Wonderland Marine.

Check it out here; http://www.rangerboats.com/staticPages/5star.cfm I read in Bass & Walleye Boats magazine that on average, Triton had a higher resell value than Ranger. All boat manufactures put out their videos on how their boats are better. It’s nothing more than a marketing ploy. I’ve worked in sales & also as a product rep & I know all about the marketing gimmicks that companies use to get people to buy their product. Both Ranger & Triton make excellent boats so you can’t go wrong with either one.

Yupper Merc won't admit there is a problem but there are at least 17 people going after them because the mounts have broken off with no warning. My buddy Brad has been talking to a few of the guys that had them break during tournaments . Nobody has been killed yet but there are a few with injuries from hitting the windshields.
