Welcome Dazed and SquidonHuron from one newbie to another. Good luck catching your 1st muskie this year. But watch out, once you do you'll be hooked.
Hey SquidonHuron, do you also go by Squid?

You looking to hook up on a musky....don't leave out going to St Clair around the Ruscum River. And definately do not drag for toothy critters without using a Woody's Musky Bait. A proven lure on Lake St Clair.

IFMMark....congrats on that toothy critter out front the Ruscum...Its a good spot for all varieties of our finned critters!
My first one was just over a tad bit on the Hump and then its like they posted my photo all over the lake cause I have caught em everywhere on St Clair and in the Detroit River. I can't seem to go out without catching one or two!

i can't wait to get some more. my first was only 32 inches, but there's nothing like seeing one jump out of the water. and even though it was only 32 inches, it put up a hell of a fight. My neighbor averaged 3 fish per day from 11-1 o'clock everyday last summer right in front of the Ruscom.

IFMMark......try just about one mile west of the hump, you'll see the charters in there..after the spawn and opening day the toothy critters move in on the perch that congregate there, usually in 14 to 16 foot water!
