GEORGIAN BAY  MOON RIVER BASIN
« on: April 15, 2005, 12:46:48 pm »

Been going here for years. The best vacation fishing spot anywhere. Super smallies, world class muskie. Check this site out read it all. Thank me when you get back.

h2o<--says my brother caught and release a 78+ lb. muskie here in Woods Bay. Was caught trolling for pike in May so had to go back. Would of been the worlds record. I'm open for questions.

That is just incredible.  How upset was he when he released it?  I would just die.  That's amazing!

I was up there when he caught it. We were camping in this unbelievable camping spot. He came back to camp sat on this rock over looking the water and stared up into the sky for a long time. He was not upset at all about releasing it. Just knowing what he did well words find that hard to explain. We'll call it Memory Burn. I got a story to tell about it later. Great story.

That is awesome...and not just the fish either. To even have something that enormous from the wild in your hands had to be just awesome. Man the thoughts going through your brothers mind!

A world class record and it got set free...just plain WOW!

':usa:'  ':CA:' Thank you Snagman it was special.

Here's the story:

My brother who live's in Denver, was fishing in Stockton Missouri. He was in a bait store and over heard these guy's talking about a 78lb.+ muskie in the georgian bay. He was one isle over in the store and listened as they challenged the story they were talking about saying it just sounds like another fish story ect.  Well my brother went out to the car got the picture and all the articles, about the fish. Walked up to the guys talking about it and showed them the picture and articles, even the write up in Muskie Magazine, who gave Jim a banquet in honor of the release. Well as jaws droped from these guys as Jim stood his ground was a tale in itself. That's one fish story they won't dought anymore lol. I think as Jim walked out the store they saw a glow around him.

h2o<---says the guy in the picture with the camera took as many pictures as he could  just to find out there was no film in his camera. Oh the agony.. We won't ever let him forget that. When I see him I always say to him   "GOT FILM" !!!!
