It's sad to see this.  You wish these organizations luck, but tournament fishing requires boat loads of money, and most people can't afford it.  Add a struggling economy, and it just becomes too much.

Solution:   Organize affordable tournaments.

Yea for what it was worth...the CRK/CFT Super Series was designed to provide Angler Profiles and Recognition and made for Canadian TV in a same way manner of the FLW...biggest problem was past problems with the series caused the anglers to shy away from the program and the organization. There was is a saturation of tournaments in Ontario mostly in the Toronto to Cottage Country areas and actually not enough anglers to support them all.
The CRK/CFT had the idea and a man for awhile with deep pockets to create guarenteed payouts, so costs compared to FLW standards was within reason....just a bad timing for the series and the anglers.
The man decided without angler support the series was doomed for 2007 so as a bizness man he pulled the plug, wise decision on his part I'd think!

Snagman hit that one.  Michigan is going to see a tournament trail or two go bye bye in the next few years because there are just too many, and they're becoming too costly.
