Ive started this topic on many other boards....but I would like to see what some of the guys here like to use when targeting eyes......I personally never stray far from a six inch GreenishYellow twister.....with very little weight bounced of bottom...in very shallow water......and if thats not working I will throw a fire tiger rapala....if these two tactics don't work...I go home....and I don't go home very often...lol......while verticly jigging I use your siimple worm harness.......but that fishing is kinda boring........I am going to experiment this year with three way swivles with a sinker and rapala.........ive read about this and no some spots where this would more than likely work quite well.....so what do you boys like to use for those eyes?

I don't know why but I love trolling/bottom bouncing worm harnesses....if that's not working I go back to jigging....Over the last couple years I've found trolling to be more productive for me especially where I go in Quebec....

you got that right, I have found that it feels like you pulling the jig through some light weeds. Haha, I am constantly trying to set a hook, because the bite is still so light. soon enough they should be slamming them though.

I had some amazing nights on the st. clair where I would set my rapla on the surface of the water then go to light a smoke and i would have a fish on ....it was crazy......it will pick up very shortly

rolly i caught one at the reserve last year while reaching for my pack of smokes. My line was reeled all the way in and my jig was just dangling a few inches under the surface. Surprised the hell out of me. My buddy's were quite pissed though as they couldnt catch a damn thing and I was catching them while not even trying. I did good that night, lol

Oh and I like to use a 3/8 head with a 4" green or chartreuse twister in the spring and than switch to a 1/4 oz head on a 3 1/2" grub-- I myself like to nip a 1/2" of the 4" grubs. They are shorter but have the little extra bit of bulk still which works great for short biters and the smaller size eyes which are common is the summer. Also this gives me a bit of extra weight for casting compared to the 3's. Just a personal preference I guess. Remember most of my eye fishing I do is at the reserve which is deeper than places like parks
