Is it March yet?
« on: October 01, 2007, 11:53:21 am »

Man the fishing has really been hit and miss! One day I'll get 4 or 5, the next 1 or 2. Been fishing the upper rivermouth and the lower rivermouth with similar results. Jigging with Fin S minnows and 3/4oz jig heads. Yesterday only managed one eye for 3 guys on board. It was a nice fish at 7lbs but would have liked some eaters. The fish was released to grow and breed. Wink

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

How are you liking the new boat? How do you like controlling the boat from the front instead of the back?

Love the new boat Zib! Still working out a few kinks caused from the boat sitting in the driveway for a few years, but all in all it's great! It's definately a little more work controlling from the bow, but really it only took an hour to get the hang of it. It all comes back to the basic chasing your line technique. Having live wells is a huge plus! If I only catch a couple, or I really don't feel like cleaning fish at the end of the day, I can just release them to catch another day! Plus I like getting from one spot to another quickly. Made it from LSC to Erie in 25 minutes.  Grin

Had her up to 56mph with 3 guys on board. I think that with the right prop I could gain at least 5mph. Grin But right now she's fast enough. Feels like I'm doing 100 at that speed!  Shocked Cheesy

That's cooking Captain CastMaster, 2 more mph and you'll take the leap to waterspeed.  That's plenty fast.  Just cracking across the water.
