just a question?....aren't you supposed to use a cradle for muskies....so you don't damage them in any way?..I thought I heard that on a fishing show once

These nets are huge!!! You can let the big heavies swim in them at the side of the boat while taking out the hooks...from what I understand they are also treated so not to harm the slime on the fish...
Would also be pretty near impossible to cradle a fish when your by yourself!!!!

It's the slime coat...and also no one wants to see them held vertically...it's not good for the organs or the back bones....they say that holding them vertically can make the organs shift inside...they might swim away at the time but will die a painful death...that's the reason why I wouldn't use Boga grips on them either....I still think that the gripping tools harm the fish, every time I see them used it pierces the bottom lip leaving a hole, how can that be good for the fish? '> I guess that should be another topic!! LOL!!

I got the Rapala Boga Grip style with scale in handle. Wouldn't use anything else, I have yet to puncture a fishes jaw or lips with it. Use one alone in the boat or if your partner is controlling the boat and you'll not use nothing else. The cradle is the best...but the large roomy nets are good as well.

Bogo Grips work well. or a cradle. don't use the otherk ind of net. a muksy can break right through it real easily.

Most fishermen sit at home in the winter, thinking about fishing. Real fishermen go out and do it.
