Got out with Jerry (FishTracker) on Saturday morning.....started over States side because the water was too dirty on the Canadian side.....after a couple drifts Jerry picked up a nice 3.5 pounder.....Me???  NADA!!!  I did get to net it for him though!!!!  WOO HOOO!!!  LOL!!!

After a while longer and only getting a couple really light hits and a couple of roll overs we decided to go back over to the Canadian side to try it out there....after the first drift I ended up with a nice 2 pounder....I'M BACK!!!!!  YEAH!!!!!!

What a great day to be out on the water!!!  It was something I really needed after the sickness and death of my Step Mom.....Thanks to Jerry for getting me out of the house and letting me bend his ear for the day.....not only is he a great fisherman but also a great friend!!!

I forgot to say that I tried out a Shimano Compre rod (6') for jigging....what a sweet rod!!  Very light, great feel and a nice fast tip....I am going to order the one piece 6'3" for my jigging rod this week from Cabelas....it is going to match up perfectly with my Okuma Epixor with 6 pound test Fireline Crystal....that with some Jigman jigs and WATCH OUT WALLEYES!!!  LOL!!!

Sorry to hear about your loss Chrispy. It's always nice to get away and try to get your mind off things , even if it is for only a couple of hours.

I LOVE the new Fireline Crystal!!!  Gives me great feel....and everyone knows I need something to give me the upper hand with these fish!!!  LOL!!
