Went today on the Canadian side of the pond. Can't share my results due to.... well ya know, but i had a great time and caught fish. The weather was beautiful with just a little rain, but the rain gear protected me. The water was nice and calm.

Oh yeah, it was nice to be able to distnguish everything that my lure hit. Made it easy to feel strikes. Braided line rocks.

LMAO ya went an caught some them big fat brwon crappies didn't ya??? HAHAHA...Its ok if'n ya did not much would be said if ya released em quickly! The Basses are giving everyone headaches from the handliners to the jiggers to the perchjerkers!
Glad ya had a good time tho!

Soon there will be legal catch and release, because it's happening anyways now. You just can't keep them off.

10/4 on that one h2o...man thats one thing I miss fishin down south the border and further south than Michigan and thats fishing for the bass year round. Although I never did intentionaly sight fish for em on beds..I did hunt em in pre and post spawn.
I always seemed to catch em on the beds when I was fishing for crapppie and gills.
