Same boat, I put cable in the garage when she put's me out there it's alot better. It's heated now, and nice to have a T.V. out there and tools TOOLS bro. lol, I found that if I pick her something up when I get fishing supplies it's alot easier, or give her some cash and say this is Dena money. That goes along way. And Stop putting stuff on the card and chance's are you can sneak some stuff. hehe.

Chrispy, I also use the H2o method. Works wonders. I have 2 portable heaters in the garage, a full size couch which unfolds into a sleeper, cable and even satllite.  Oh and wireless internet too. If i get kicked out, I gladly go in the garag and pretend that its a punishment  ''

Whooooohooooo I still can't believe what gets aired on the internet...hahahahaha! Chrispy my boy my boy hahahahaha!

I am in a very fortunate relationship here because as you all know BASSETTE likes to fish as well as I do. So things purchased for the boat or for fishing is something we both share in. I am even able to get her things for her birthday and christmas like a new tackle softpak or trolling rod/reel last christmas got her a rod/reel combo flippin stick. Her birthday seen the unwrapping of the soft swimbait pro selection by Matzuo. Don't get me wrong, she requires gurly frilly things too, stuff I call girl foo-foo but offset that against a new gps/fish finder unit and its a fairly inexpensive trade-off.

But h2o & BeerMaster pretty much has a handle on how to handle tense situations, a little "Look what I bought ya Darlin" gift helps or if it can't be reasoned out...make sure ya fluff the dawghouse for your personal comfort.

I think maybe the next time if cash is not used since its activities cannot be traced like cc reciepts I would try to get the wifey or gurlfriend involved in the excitement and the purchase of new fishing equipment or boat needs. This requires some academy award winning acting abilities, but it can be pulled off by the always thinking crafty angler. Our gals know we as men are really kids at heart....play to that thought and emotion cause Big Boys need their Big Toys and they ain't cheap!!! Also get them involved in the decision of whats needed once you explain all the good its gonna do and how its gonna make you the next Fish-God in front of your buddies (They do not want others to know your really Nuetered) the cost is a minor issue.

I can't implore enough for guys to start introducing their wifeys or gf's to the outdoors especially fishing or boating or both. It does take time and sometime coersion and sometimes a lot of whining but once you show her this can be a couples kind of outing once in awhile you will fair for the better!

Well enuff of the  male gender philosphy, I gotta finish the dishes and put away the laundry and vaccum the livingroom. Man what did I do with that dust rag??? ''

LMAO!!!!!  That is hilarious!!!!  If I start talking fishing with the wife she will make me sit there and listen about cooking or gardening....all I need to know about cooking is "is the grease hot"'<img'> or is the BBQ hot enough for my steak?'<img'>  LOL!!!  And as for gardening all I need to know if the grass is higher than my dogs, it's time for a cutting...*S*

This July 4th we'll be celebrating our 20th year together....I must have done something right?'<img'>  LMAO!!!!

Most fishermen sit at home in the winter, thinking about fishing.  Real fishermen go out and do it.

Oh The Innocense of Youth.. ':<img:'>  ':<img:'> ICE  We never send the wifey or gf into the sanctity of our space ie the garage or basement or proverbial dawghouse. That is trully one area of the domain we rule! That is where we keep our toys ie tools, tv, old wornout sofa, beer fridge, peace and quiet ':meow1:'

Note to Mark if the wife hangs out in the garage just fire up a power tool, see they hate the noise, I've used sorry honey but I got to cut this board with the hand saw, the dust drive's them out. lol Many other tricks like this one  Hey honey I thought I saw a mouse in the garage, that's gold buddy GOLD. ':appl:' Now set a trap and keep saying darn smart mouse he took the cheese but missed the trap, ya that's it missed the trap. That will get you at least a couple weeks. See the garage is our last sanctuary. Place for peace. You'll find out in time.

h2o<---says I love my wife there are no better but the garage is a get away and if we don't protect our interest no one else will.  ':CA:'  ':usa:'
