Thanks for the welcome!
I'm trying to get some information for fly fishing for salmon in Wisconsin. A friend of mine told me he used to go Columbus Day each year, and did pretty well. He told me he fished in the Manitowoc area. I've done some calling around, but no information.

Many thanks for the welcome and the information. I'm thinking very seriously about coming up to Wisconsin next month. Did I mention I'm a Packer fan for 50 years. The wife and I visited Greenbay in 1979. That was the year they played their first Monday night football game. We went through the Greenbay football hall of fame. Saw the two Throphies. We are from New Hampshire origionally and avid Red Sox fans as well. We moved to Springfield, MO last year. It is neat fishing for trout all year, but I think all the development in Branson will spoil that in time. I lay off in the summer months as there are far too many "fisherman" in the water, and the river is very high that time of year as they run four generators. The water temperature is 45F year round. Water from the dam comes from bottom of the lake above. The state trophy brown was caught last fall from the river. I think it was 18 pounds 17 ounces. I saw him in the hole he was caught from, but could not get down to him. A fellow was up above me kind of waiting. I waved him in and moved up the river. He caught the big brute on a scud.
