Still plenty of active males in the river system. Five fish limits are being caught from Shiocton to Winneconne. Most folks are still jigging with 1/4 to 3/8 oz. jigs tipped with crawlers or minnows, and fish are being caught throughout the day. Early morning and evening anglers are also picking up a few fish casting Rapalas on shallow flats.
White bass are making their way up the river, but cooler temps have kept these fish inactive to this point. A few warm sunny days should trigger some good fishing.
