For those who enjoy being outdoors and stalking your game in the woods I have found a great piece of sports equipment to help keep you stealthy.
You can get them in the Cabella's catalog.
They are called "Bears Feet"
They slip on over your shoes, sneekers, or boots. They ar fluffy and soft, with padding on the bottom.
I've used them to walk along unused and blocked logging roads. I've found that you can walk on stones and gravel without making a sound. Many game animals will feed along unused roads as the sun increases the food supply.
In the woods they will muffle or completely prevent the sound of a snapped twig or the crunch of a pine cone.
These items have got me into bow & arrow range while hunting elk herds. With Dozens of pairs of ears listening for you, you need to be as quiet as possible. If the game are able to hear your noise, then the eyes will look that way and see you.
All I have to do is make sure I stay down wind of the game I am stalking.

Yeah, real good idea. What about stopping the swishing sound of your pants?

Most fishermen sit at home in the winter, thinking about fishing. Real fishermen go out and do it.

Great tip BullHunter, Thanks!
Icefishermanmark, you can't go wrong with real wool! I wear wool pants and jacket just for that reason, may get a bit warm at times, but it's real quiet!

Yes in deed, Wool is great for quietness and keeping you warm. When I used to rifle hunt in the winter I always had wool army pants. Years ago I switched to archery which has its 1st elk season starting in the 1st week of September. I usually buy the softest camo cloths I can find. Gortex is very bad for archery hunters, makes lots of noise.
