The weather was actually livable today. It was in the 50's and is only getting warmer. I managed about an hour at Atterbury FWA in Central Indiana. I threw a husky jerk (silver/black) and stuck 3 nice (but little) largemouth and of all things a bluegill. I switched to a Bomber (bass) to see if I could find something bigger a little deeper. I managed one more largemouth and it was bigger than the other 3 but not huge. And then I had to go. Work work work.
Not bad, considering how bad the weather has been.

I'm looking forward to getting out at the end of the week if I can sneak out of swimming. This week is looking good.

Supposed to be mid to high 50's tomorrow. I have an "appointment" scheduled for 3p. So I hope to be in the water 3 solid hours tomorrow.

Nope, I'm up. I have to work sometime. So I am trying to get as much done now as possible. Then it's on the water.

I came home from school today, saw the glassy waters, and almost decided to skip swimming to go fishing. I'm thinkin 65 tomorrow... I may have to.

Well, I made it out today, but not for the 3 hours I had hoped. More like an hour and a half. But it was something.
I threw everything in the box... worked my way into some plastics, but I was afraid the water was still too cold. Man was I wrong.
I t-rigged, weightless, a new Uncle Sinko stick worm from My Mom is Becky Baits, that Ryan was nice enough to send me. They worked like a charm. Great fall rate, nice feel, crawdad flavor and as I found out, durable.
I had several strikes, and nailed 6 nice largemouth, missing at least that many. All soft little nipper strikes, but bites non the less.

I don't blame you, I just finished painting my craft and I'll hit it next week. All these sunny days just cranks the fish. I just need 45 degree water temp and I'm out in full force. Look for some reports from me soon...

3:30p - 4:45p today. Hit some water on the way home. What a perfect day to fish, not be on the phone driving all day... work work work.
I hit 5 largemouth. 4 dinks, and I mean little 'uns. On a husky Jerk. And one nice one on an Uncle Sinko.
It was so freakin windy that I was having trouble with the t-rig weightless MMiB Sinkos... but of all things I was jumping them along some real nice green mats of slime, and bucketmouths were blowing up all over them... I must have missed 10 fish. They were coming through the stuff, but not really hitting the stick much. And if they did, they were hitting it in the rear. I didn't have any frogs with me, but I wish I had. I even started making myself wait, and say o.k. hit em. But nothing worked to hook up. It was frustrating, but it was fun this early having some topwater action.
