Heard it on the radio this morning... Here's the story from freep. Anyone seen the whole thing?
Three boaters on a 26-foot Sea Ray had to jump into the Salt River about 1 1/2 miles off shore Saturday night as a 35-footer slammed into them.
All the boaters were fine, but the driver of the 35-foot Four Winns was cited for reckless operation, said Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel.
Hackel said the driver wasn't intoxicated. Both boats had their lights on, he said, but the driver of the Four Winns didn't see the smaller boat.
“The people on board the Sea Ray jumped into the water just before the collision,” Hackel said.
One was pulled from the water by the Four Winns boaters. The names of those involved weren't released Sunday. Hackel said all boaters were checked out by the sheriff's marine division.
Both boats were towed from the water. The collision occurred at 11:25 p.m.

Most fishermen sit at home in the winter, thinking about fishing. Real fishermen go out and do it.
