Report # 16

Woke before twi-light and met up with Czar and my son Jr.. Starting casting in Anchor Bay @ 7:35 and went on to catch (boat) lol 116 fish. Mostly Smallies and Largemouth, rock bass, pike, pumpkinseeds and 4 muskie( smaller ones). Czar (29 inch) and h2o one and Jr. 2. Biggest SM 4lb. 6 oz. (h2o). "6 foot" was the ticket west of salt 68 degrees, and east of the salt was 62 so we concentrated west of it. Ended day @ 5:55 Nice and cloudy so gold and copper lures ruled.

I really don't know where to start, we had so much fun it was a personal best day in Anchor Bay.
So many doubles and the best was my son and myself were cranking our Mepps aglias in, about 6 foot apart and 15 foot from the boat a smallie blast's his lure and a second later another smallie blast's mine I first thought we both had the same fish and the battle began as these fish were caught close to the boat and didn't like it. Bull doggin, going airborne, ripping line and kaos could not of been worse. Moments later we both landed them with Czar on the net going crazy. lol His looks bigger but the scale has them as his 3lb. 6 oz. and mine 3lbs 10 oz. So much to this day a report can't really tell the whole story.

Near the end of the day I had a small ski on and he shook the lure going airborne. 2 seconds later he was on my son's lure and shook the lure going airborne, 15 seconds later a skie hit Czars presentation went airborne shook it and we will never forget that trail of events. ( true story btw)

98% of the fish were caught on #5 Mepps Aglia's plain/scent.

Had the pleasure of seeing Adam Fish, Fishon and Muskiehunter out there. At the ramp talked to Broadcast who was just going out. Hope he did well where we did.

We had a riot and it was good to get my brother and nephew out in the Czarbarge. Well, at least my nephew laughing6 Had a 40 follow to the boat when they hooked the double smallies. I was chuckin the big muskie baits most of the day and couldn`t get nothing going on them. Switched to the #5 mepps cause the arm was getting spent from throwing the big baits. Payed off in a big way. #5 gold was the hot color. It was good to see Adamfish, Fishon, Muskiehound and Broadcast out there. Looking forward to the next outing.
