I havent fished since i was younger and ive been wanting to get back into it again. Im wondering what are some good shore fishing spots in Macomb. I was thinking along the lines of stoney creek or possibly lake st. clair. What are you catching and what are you using? Any info is great help. Thanks!

Plenty of panfish can be caught on the rocks at harley ensign boat launch right by the lighthouse. It's pretty packed over there on the wekeends though. I've seen a lot of the miscelenious species caught by the 9 mile tower on lsc, there is a little park type of a deal there behind the sewage station and people fish off the breaker wall.
Can anyone add to that?
Stony was pretty tough the last time i went out there.

There are places to shorefish. It's just this time of year the shorelines get pretty weeded out and it's hard to find a opening to cast out. Hit Metro park just on the otherside of the launch. The lagoon there is 10 foot deep and very fishable. Harsens Island Canals are a good place for that.
Use lite line. Try the 4lb. Crystal FireLine. Awesome line and you'll think it's 10 lb. Very thin. Fish like that.
