Fishing Pickerel Lake Newaygo

I am just wondering if anyone has any info on Pickerel, Emerald, Sylvan about the Walleye in there. Where is a good place to find them, and what as been the hot bait to use. Thanks for the input!

1. Fishing Cottage Owner

Hess lake jas some 5-6 inches of good ice and the crappie are bitting, but the big ones are not in yet.

Croton Pond also reporting 5-6 inches, but reports of any fish are short coming. Generally the Pond is good for nice sized perch, gills and Pike!

We have ice fishing cottages available for rent by the day on both Hess Lake, the muskegon River and Croton Pond.

3. Newaygo Ice fishing

I have no reports on these lakes, but Fremont Lake has been good for walleye. Blue gill and crappie fishing on Hess Lake has started. Ice dept on Hess Lake is about 4-5 inches. For more complete ice fishing details, Call Parsleys Sport Shop in Newaygo at 231-652-6986.
