Hi, I also quit smoking exactly 2 months ago today with this new medicine. Here in Canada it is called Champix instead of Chantix. I tried to quit many times before but never succeeded.I will never smoke again. These pills really work, as for side effects nothing at all except for a lot of strange dreams,no nightmares, just dreams but very clear and easy to remember the details the next day. After 2 month the stress and bad humour is slowly going away and life is getting back to normal. I did gain a few pounds but I will deal with that starting next week Good luck to everyone. Denis
Congradulations Dennis! I already jumped on the weight control issue 2 weeks ago. I got a program from from fitday and started tracking my calories. I am still eating like a pig, but by knowing what I eat and how bad it is, I make my choise a bit more carefully. And what do you know, I ost 5 lbs in the first week and a half, when i should be gaining weight. It's neat, my base metobolic requirement is 3180 calories for my age/size/height/weight. I keep somewhere between 2100 and 2800 basically eating 500 calories a day less. It's easy, just say no to cheese on your burgers for instance or use light dressing. Or use milk in your coffee instead of creamer. And after a week, i haven;t consumed almost 5000 calories. 5000 calories that you didn't consume adds up to 1.5lbs of fat lost. You can do tis succesfuly just by tracking what to eat. Now that you quit smoking and your self esteem is high, makes it a perfect time to look into weight loss.
